Textbook Adoptions

The following Science instructional materials will be presented to the School Board for approval. The links here are for the benefit of those members of the public which would like to view the materials the Review Committee selected for recommendation. For some of the courses below two publishers were recommended and put out for public review. These titles are listed as the Review Committee’s first and second choice. However, in these instances only one will be selected and approved by the School Board.

All core instructional materials were vetted and approved by the State of Florida Department of Education and can be found on the 2024/2025 Science Instructional Materials Adoption List 12/12/2024.

Committee Meetings

  • Secondary (Middle & High): Morning Session: Middle School, High School

    The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on August 26, 2025, in the morning (8:00 – 12:00) to discuss the purpose and procedures of the ELA 6-12, Reading, and Personal Finance Instructional Materials Adoption.

    Elementary: Afternoon Session: Elementary School

    The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on August 26, 2025, in the afternoon (12:15 – 3:00) to discuss the purpose and procedures of the K-5 ELA, K-3 Interventions, Reading, and K-4 Math Interventions Instructional Materials Adoptions.

    The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the secondary group and from 12:15 PM to 3:00 PM for the elementary group.

    *Please bring your technology and any of the sample materials that you may need to conduct your work in reviewing the instructional materials.

    The public is welcome to observe the committee training.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on September 16, 2025, to review materials for the K-4 Math Interventions Curriculum for the Elementary School K-4 Math Interventions adoption. This meeting will include Publisher presentations and will result in a final recommendation to be brought before the school board.

    The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on September 17, 2025, to review materials for the K-5 ELA, K-4 Interventions, and K-5 Reading Curricula for K-5 ELA, K-4 Interventions, and K-5 Reading Adoptions.  

    The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on September 30, 2025, to review materials for the 6-12 ELA, and 6-12 Reading Curricula for 6-12 ELA, and 6-12 Reading Adoptions. 

    The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on October 1, 2025, to review materials for the 9-12 Personal Finance and Money Management for the 9-12 Personal Finance and Money Management Adoption. 

    The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on October 15, 2025, for publisher presentations and final recommendations for the adoption of ELA K-5, ELA K-3 Interventions, and K-5 Reading instructional materials. This meeting will result in final recommendations to be brought before the School Board.

  • The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on October 28, 2025, for publisher presentations and final recommendations for the adoption of ELA 6-12 ELA and 6-12 Reading instructional materials. This meeting will result in final recommendations to be brought before the School Board.
