🌿 Celebrating Business, Education, and Agriculture in Citrus County! 🌿

Posted Date: 10/10/25 (5:08 PM)

Several members of our Citrus Schools team and School Board attended the Annual Citrus County Chamber Business Appreciation Luncheon, proudly sponsored by Duke Energy.  We packed three tables and were honored to hear inspiring words from Keynote Speaker Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson and witness an incredible turnout from our local business community — all who live, work, and serve right here in this amazing place we call home, Citrus County.
Our Career & Technical Education team was also out in full force joined by several of our Agriculture teachers who play such an important role in shaping the next generation of leaders in FFA and beyond. During his keynote, Commissioner Simpson spoke passionately about the vital role of agriculture in our schools and our state.
In a memorable moment, Commissioner Simpson personally presented each of our Agriculture teachers with a special challenge coin — a token of appreciation and respect for their dedication to agricultural education. 🍊🐄🌾Four people pose for a photo indoors, smiling at the camera.A large conference room hosts a luncheon with a speaker at the podium.A woman in a lace dress and hat stands with a man in a blazer. Two people stand together, smiling, in front of a black curtain and a flag.A gold and black coin with text and a seal, resting on a textured blue surface.A circular emblem of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
